How to fix blind bracket pulled out of rendered brick wall?

Hi everyone,

The blind bracket shown in the photos had already become a bit loose in the wall. Last night, when I pulled the blind with a bit of force, the whole bracket came out along with part of the wall material.

What would be the best way to repair this and remount the bracket securely?

Any step-by-step advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your wall bracket for your roller blind.

Thank you for sharing that photo of your wall with the mounting point. It appears that you have a masonry wall that is rendered. I propose cutting a piece of offcut timber that will fit into the gap of the wall. Your goal is to have it fit loosely but not overly tight, make sure that it fits the entire space of the gap. To fix the timber plug in place, I suggest using https://www.bunnings.com.au/selleys-320g-liquid-nails-construction-adhesive_p1233751 on the inside wall of the masonry and then position the timber plug in place.

Allow the adhesive to fully cure before you screw into the timber plug. My best advice is to pre-drill into the timber plug so that it does split. In regard to the render, I suggest using https://www.bunnings.com.au/uni-pro-500g-multi-purpose-interior-filler-500g_p1210281 in combination with https://www.bunnings.com.au/pro-renovator-50mm-plastic-scraper_p1660092 to repair the damaged surface.
