How to replace Lytworx Festoon Lights transformer?

I purchased the Lytworx Festoon 30 bulb 15m light string as decorative lighting in our covered back deck. We love it, and have switched it on 5-6 times when entertaining over the past two years. Unfortunately two days ago I switched it on for a small dinner party and the lights did not work. I double checked the powerpoint operated and disconnected and reconnected the power supply and connecter cable to no avail.

Resigned to buying another set of lights I went to Bunnings Caloundra and bought the 50 bulb Festoon 15m light string. I unboxed the new set and noticed the transformer had the same connector and was identical except with a 10W rating instead of the existing 7.2W rating.

I unscrewed the old transformer and screwed in the new transformer, leaving all the existing lights intact. Voila! The old light string now worked beautifully again.

Great, except now I have a light string with no power supply. Is there a replacement 10W transformer available, as I will hang them in the tree outside the deck?

In terms of getting your second set up and running, it would definitely be worth reaching out to Lytworx directly to see if they can supply a replacement transformer. They typically keep spare parts, including transformers, for their current lighting ranges, so there’s a good chance a suitable unit is available. I would advise that you seek a 7W  original transformer for your original light system instead of running it on the 10W version that you've acquired.

You’ve got a couple of options to organise this: you can visit your local Bunnings store and speak with the Special Orders team, who can make an enquiry on your behalf, or you can contact the Spare Parts team directly via the online form. Just have your product details handy to help them match the correct transformer.
