How to repaint a metal roof?

Hi there

I am looking to repaint a metal roof and would like some advice on the best product available in the Gully / Colorbond Gully colour.

Could you please let me know which roof paint system would be the most suitable and long lasting option for a metal roof in Victoria.

I would also appreciate information about any recommended primers or preparation products required before painting.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is wonderful to have you with us.

Unfortunately, the paints that are designed, tested and covered by a warranty for use on roofs are extremely specialised and must be installed by an accredited installer. This is because they are subject to intense heat, UV and weathering that standard exterior grade paints are capable of resisting.

I have had this conversation with our paint suppliers such as Dulux before, and their response has always been that you should get in touch with their technical support teams who will be able to point you in the right direction.
