A jar of cooking oil fell and broke on my timber flooring. How do I remove the oil stain on the wood? Is there some polish I can restore the surface to make it look better?

Thanks for sharing your question about your oil-stained floor. If you have access to a https://www.bunnings.com.au/mistral-compact-spot-cleaner_p1018429 or a https://www.bunnings.com.au/vax-platinum-spot-wash-spot-cleaner-vacsc21e_p0379575 , these would be the tools I would recommend using on your oil-stained floor. I suggest using the https://www.bunnings.com.au/vax-1l-platinum-professional-solution_p0423206 to wash and vacuum the oil out of your floor.
The oil has seeped into the joints and the only method I can think of to suck out the oil is to use a spot cleaner. The only other cleaner I can think of that might work is https://www.bunnings.com.au/clr-750ml-grease-oil-remover_p1560041 . Please test a small section first to make sure that it does not harm the finish of your floor. If it looks successful you can then do the rest of the flooring that has been affected by the oil.
