Purchased some new shower handles and the spindles are longer in the new one than the older ones. I’ve installed them and when I turn the mains on, I’m unable to switch the water off with the handles.
This would need a licensed plumber IMO

Unfortunately, as J-P mentioned, this would be something that would require a licensed plumber for safety and compliance reasons.
