How to repair render over cement sheeting?

Question

Had an old pergola removed which was bolted & siliconed to the house. I need to repair / fill the old bolt holes (in brick) as well as repair the really thin render (on cement sheeting) that was damaged while removing the patio and silicone. I’ve removed all the loose bits. What product / method do you recommend.

Welcome to the Bunnings workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about repairing your render.

The general steps to repair your render are to clean the crack with a stiff bristle brush to remove any loose dirt and debris (which you've already done). Once the crack has been thoroughly cleaned, I suggest using

in combination with a

. Your goal is to put on a patch that is level with the wall.

I also recommend having a look at this guide - How to repair a rendered wall by @Nailbag. My best advice is to give the patch enough time to fully cure before you paint the surface.
