What colour do you think we should paint our roof?

We are in the process of haven our tile roof cleaned and painted. The builder/painter suggested to painted it grey (monument) because the brick is mixed of dark grey and light grey with slight red and I thinking it should be Manor Red to match the guttering.

Can you please advice what is best one out of these two that won't stand out or clash with the guttering? (See attached photos)

That's a big decision! I disagree with your painter. I think the whole house will be too much of the same thing. Generally speaking architectural features, whether they're the frames of your windows, or the colour of your door, or your roof, seem to look best in a contrasting colour to the vertical walls of the house. I'm inclined to agree with you on this. I think, though, what I'd do is wait and see how good the roof looks once it's been pressure washed. The original builder will have married the tile colour with the bricks, and you might find, once it's all clean again, you really like the colour you have. That's what I'd do anyway. I was also going to suggest what @twocutekelpies suggested, that AI might be the easiest way to check out various options. It's there and free, so why not?

One thing I would caution on is using black. Black fades incredibly quickly, whether it's actual tiles or paint. I've seen brand new black rooves change within 18 months to faded, blotchy grey.

While I'm not a huge fan of AI, I've found it very helpful to see how different colours and styles work. I'd take a few outside photos, probably on a more sunny day and try editing the roof colour in chatgpt, it's free for a few goes each day. If you're not sure how it works, upload the photo you want to edit, type something like "edit image, change roof colour to colorbond manor red"

I recently played with my own house to see what it would look like with white and navy instead of current colour.

I also tried modernising it with chatgpt, now I'm a bit torn which way to go 😄

Choosing the colour for your roof is a very personal, subjective matter. Personally, I would vote for the Manor Red. Its deep colour will be striking in full sun and will match your gutter as you mentioned.
