What cabinet to install in an Alfresco area?

Hi,

I have alfresco with glass closed . I have to make myself small cabinets with sink . Which cabinet good ? I checked Bunnings there are white melamine isn’t suit some areas need pockets screws. Is it melamine strength while screwing? I am attaching one small cabinet I need same like one . Which cabinet sheet good ? Bench top ? Please advise me.

If you wish to build the cabinet yourself, you can use either the https://www.bunnings.com.au/custompine-carcass-ds-16mm-2400-x-1200mm-mr-particleboard-white-matt_p0097412 or the https://www.bunnings.com.au/2440-x-1220mm-12mm-plywood-hardwood-marine-aa-grade-12mm_p0320024 . I have placed a sample image below of how you can assemble the cabinet together. Please note that the measurements are for reference only, please adjust them to your needs. My best advice is to drill pilot holes for all the screws to prevent splitting the boards.

Thank you for sharing your question about building cabinets for your alfresco. Yes, you can use melamine sheets to build cabinetry. They are strong and can be joined together using ordinary screws. Another option is to purchase a pre-made cabinet such as the https://www.bunnings.com.au/kaboodle-600mm-white-base-cabinet_p2662611 . I suggest using https://www.bunnings.com.au/kaboodle-300mm-white-gloss-modern-cabinet-door_p2660458 for the doors. For the benchtop, I recommend using the https://www.bunnings.com.au/specrite-2200-x-600-x-26mm-multi-use-merbau-panel_p8330163 . I also suggest using an https://www.bunnings.com.au/estilo-450mm-stainless-steel-round-inset-sink_p0300739 . Please note that the timber benchtop must be sealed on all sides to protect it from moisture damage.

It is possible to get larger cabinet sizes, but it just depends on how much space you have. Please note that using the Kaboodle cabinetry or any of the other flat pack systems outside even in a covered area will void its warranty.

Thank you for your reply. I would like to make a cabinet myself. I need one side open space because my drier should be sit open area . The door side under sink . I think buy a large sheet and make myself. Plywood laminate sheet or any other sheets best? Please advise me.
