How to stop ants getting in through exterior wall?

Hi there,

I've just moved into a new place, and I've noticed a long line of ants travelling along the exterior wall from outside the building. I followed the trail and found that they have several entry points into the building. Some of the gaps are quite small and can easily be filled, but one of them is too large it's the one behind my bedroom window. Can you please guide me how to get rid of the ants?

I suggest a three-step approach to protecting your home and limiting the entry points for the ants. I suggest patching up all the small entry points, gaps and cracks along the brick wall with https://www.bunnings.com.au/sika-300ml-concrete-grey-sikaflex-11fc-purform_p0628962 , please make sure that the surface is totally dry before you apply the Sikaflex.

Next, your windows rowlock or window brick edging has fallen off. I suggest engaging the services of a brick layer and getting it repaired. Once repaired, you can ask the brick layer to re-seal the bottom edge of the window so that there is no gap between the bricks and window frame.

For the last step, I suggest giving the area a thorough clean and wash, then using https://www.bunnings.com.au/richgro-500g-ant-and-wasp-killa-dust_p0289658 and applying it into the gaps and cracks where the ants usually gather together.
