I have the attached pic of the washing machine drain pipe which is connected to the piping under my laundry sink
How can i make this more secure as it is leaking

Thanks for the photo and for explaining what's happening under your laundry tub. In general, connecting or modifying plumbing for appliances like a washing machine drain hose is considered regulated plumbing work. Any changes to existing pipework, fittings or connections need to be carried out by a licensed plumber.
I don't wish to hazard a guess as to why your drainpipe is not coping properly with your drain hose and is consequently leaking. A plumber would be able to check your current setup and advise on the most suitable way to connect the drain hose of your washing machine safely and in line with requirements. It’s worth having a quick conversation with a plumber so you know the options available for your installation.

So the guys here can't answer questions that may come under regulations for legal reasons, but I can. The connection you have is totally wrong! the flexible hose from your washing machine should have a rubberised end on it that fits on a spigot from your U bend but that all seems to be missing! I can't see clearly enough but the lower part of the picture seems to show a spigot off the u bend but we don't know what has been done to the hose from the machine!
Much as I hate to say this but you may actually need a plumber to correct the total stuff up you have there! Try searching videos of how to connect a washing macine and then how to blank off the current connection if you really need to DIY.
