What replacement toilet is compatible with our P-trap plumbing?

Question

We are changing our toilet and have already bought Mondella from bunnings. When we called the plumber in he said we will have to adjust the height and also change the outside plumbing. I am not very keen on spending much for this because we are budgeting for the rest of the house renovation. Can someone please have a look at the attached photo of what we bought and what we have and suggest what should we do to avoid all digging and making changes. We are happy to change our toilet if need be.

If you'd like to explore alternatives before committing to moving the plumbing, it might be worth asking the plumber whether an offset pan connector or offset adaptor could be used to connect the new toilet to the existing wall outlet. This can sometimes accommodate small differences in positioning without requiring major plumbing alterations.

You could also ask whether it's feasible to install the toilet on a raised mortar or concrete plinth to make up the 20mm height difference and align it with the existing outlet. As Eric mentioned, this appears to be how your current toilet has been accommodated.

As for installation, Bunnings does offer a Toilet Installation Service. However, it's generally intended for straightforward replacement installations, so if plumbing modifications or a custom base are required, it's best to discuss any additional work and costs with the installer beforehand.

The height of the current toilet is 200mm. The plumber said will need to remove the pipes and change all pipes from outside which I feel is a bit too much. What type of questions would be appropriate to ask the plumber without offending him. Also,  of toilet seat needs to be raised to match the 200mm height, what products are used? Does Bunnings help with this sort of installation or just the straightforward ones.

. It has a stated "P" trap height of 180mm from the centre of the pipe to the floor. I suggest measuring the height of your "P" trap pipe from your floor to the middle of the PVC pipe in your wall. This measurement will tell you if the toilet outlet will line-up with your exit pipe. Please see the image I've placed below to give you an idea about measurements.

However, please note that your existing toilet is sitting on a concrete base. This has allowed the previous plumber to line the toilet up without having to move your plumbing. This might be an option for your toilet installation, and a new base can be built for your new toilet, but it is something that you'll need to discuss with the plumber in order to determine if it is a viable solution. Please note that adding a base will increase the height of the entire toilet suite.

In regard to using other toilet suites, the general height of "P" traps is similar or very close to the existing measurement I've mentioned. I suggest speaking to your plumber about other options in regard to moving the plumbing.
