How to remove invasive Kikuyu from Buffalo lawn?

Attached photos when I used 3 paid apps ( PictureThis, PlantSnap, Plant Parent ) they were showing it is Kikuyu,,,,,not sure if this identification is correct

Kikuyu is very invasive of other grasses. Kikuyu is very fast growing,
and its fine seed is easily dispersed by the wind blowing seeds from
neighbouring lawns.

What selective weed killer should I used to overcome this issue ?

Based on the photos, it is highly likely that the grass is Kikuyu. Kikuyu is a very vigorous and invasive grass that can spread quickly through runners and seed, often encroaching into Buffalo lawns.

Unfortunately, Buffalo grass is quite sensitive to herbicides, and there is currently no selective herbicide available that I'm aware of that will reliably kill Kikuyu without also damaging or killing the Buffalo lawn around it.

In situations like this, the most effective approach is spot treatment using a non-selective herbicide such as Zero. To minimise damage to the surrounding Buffalo, apply the herbicide directly onto the Kikuyu blades using a https://www.bunnings.com.au/yates-zero-weeding-herbicide-applicator-brush_p3019880 . These tools allow you to "paint" the herbicide onto the unwanted grass, where it is absorbed and transported down into the root system.

This method does require some patience and persistence, as you may need to repeat treatments on any regrowth, but it is generally the best way to gradually control Kikuyu spreading through a Buffalo lawn.

As with any herbicide, always read and follow the product label carefully. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including a face mask, gloves, enclosed footwear, long sleeves, and eye protection where recommended.
