How to mount a server rack to the wall?

Hello.

I have a 6u server rack that i need to mount on a wall in the new place I am moving to. The studs are 450mm apart and studs are 90mm thick I am told.

The rack holes are 405mm apart and as such need to understand how to mount it.

Chatgpt said use structural screws with at least 50 - 60mm without taking the plaster into account. So i need to know if i need plywood etc on top and as such would need longer screws etc.

I prefer Phillips head screws but will see what your opinion is.

Please link screws and other things you suggest if ok.

I'm concerned about the weight you are quoting. The empty rack is usually about 20Kg and you have to allow for whatever you are putting in there and any weight added by cable ends. This size of rack can take as much as 80Kg and yes I have seen them fall off the wall! Also if this is being used for networking, you shouldn't be installing this as it is a regulated trade and you need a registered cabler which can also be an electrician if they have done the endorsement.

Yes, there are shorter screws such as the -

. However, the next one down goes to 50mm in length and there is nothing in the 65mm range for the Buildex Bugle Batten Screws.

Thanks. In my case the total weight would be about 20 to 25kg. The stud is 90mm think so thinking need at least 75mm, 10mm plasterboard and 65mm in the wood. 100mm would be too much?

Is there an option. In between?
