How to stop washing machine drain hose from leaking?

Question

hello we’ve recently renovating our laundry and upon hooking the washing machine back up it won’t stop leaking regardless of what clamp is on it and being secured and tight.

What’s another option

Might be a silly question @dylan-heather, but has the spigot on the trap been drilled out? If it's a new trap, it needs to be drilled out.

Some of the possible causes for the hose to leak are:

* There is a small crack at the end of the hose which is not visible but is allowing water to pass through.
* The end of the hose has been cut and you no longer have the original end of the hose.
* The hose end could be brittle and is allowing water to escape despite the clamps.

Would it be possible for you to post a photo of the hose end? Once we see it, our members will be able to assess its current condition. Please note that should the hose need replacement, it will be necessary to engage the services of a plumber.
