How to fix dishwasher drain hose leaking?

Hi legends, need some help on this. Our dishwasher has started dripping water from the connection in the image. I'm pretty sure it's the drainage hose (followed it to under the sink). You can see that I tried to fix it up with plumber's tape but it didn't work, still dripping water. I can't tell EXACTLY from where the water was coming from, the silver screw side or the cream color side. Can I please get some advice on how to fix this? I know we can probably call a plumber but times are hard and we're trying to DIY wherever we can to save some money. Thanks in advance!

Forgot to mention it's a LG LD-1481W4 Driver Inverter Dishwasher

If it's the inlet hose connection that's leaking, it's still a similar situation in that the source of the leak would need to be identified before any repair can be recommended. There are several potential causes, and a licensed plumber is best placed to assess the connection, determine exactly where the leak is originating from and carry out any necessary repairs.

That's a bit of an unusual setup. The thinner hose at the top is typically reserved for water supply, whereas the larger corrugated hose is generally used for wastewater. It's possible that your dishwasher has a smaller diameter waste hose, but without seeing the full installation, it's difficult to say for certain.

Regarding the leak, it's unfortunately not possible to determine the cause without first tracing exactly where the water is escaping from. If the leak is occurring at the threaded connection, there is a chance that an internal washer has failed or is missing. If the leak is coming from the fitting itself, there is also the possibility that the fitting or hose connection has cracked.
