Hoping for some help please. I have existing tiles in a shower that while are in good condition they are faded and loook awful. I want to tile over the top but I can’t see what I would used to raise the waste by 15mm. Can’t afford to rip them out and start from scratch. The inside edge of the existing drain is around 85mm and slots into the 100mm pipe. Thanks!

Yes, tiling over existing tiles can be done; however, due to the technical considerations involved, I recommend consulting a professional tiler to assess the best approach. The existing tile surface may need to be mechanically or chemically prepared to ensure proper adhesion of the new tile adhesive. Additionally, the waste outlet height may need to be modified to account for the increased floor level resulting from the additional layer of tiles. I would suggest engaging the services of a plumber as any plumbing modification including the waste height is considered regulated plumbing work.
