Back room of the house was bare floorboards half the room was covered in old laminate tiles. Was cold and very drafty could see sun light through the cracks between floor boards. Filled cracks with wood putty after pulling up laminate tiles and scrapping off the old glue. Painted the floor with left over paint .laid down moisture barrier then worked out the pattern from second hand flooring found on market place.then laid the flooring. Added skirting board around the edges to finish it off.

What a fantastic transformation! You’ve taken a room that was cold, drafty, and unfinished and turned it into something warm, stylish, and inviting. The mix of light and dark flooring creates a really unique pattern that gives the room loads of character, and it works beautifully with the rich purple walls.
Knowing that the flooring was sourced second-hand makes it even more impressive. You can tell a lot of thought and effort went into every step, from filling the gaps and stopping the drafts to carefully planning the layout and finishing it off with skirting boards. It’s not just a new floor; it’s a room that looks loved and cared for.
The best DIY projects are the ones that solve a problem and look great at the same time, and this definitely does both. You should be proud of what you've achieved it looks cozy, creative, and completely transformed.
