Secret garden entrance

The project:

My Wife wanted an entrance to a secret garden. So we sorced some old cladding and turned it into an old cottage front.

- Materials:

Treated timber for the frame. 100mm pavers for the floor. Kept rhe frame of the ground with galv sterrips. New galv roofing iron painted with rust coloured paint. Outside finished with cladding oil.

- Step 1:

Started by building a treated pine frame and cladding with old weatherboard

Congratulations on your project, @Fitcho! What a creative idea, and you've done a fantastic job bringing your wife's vision of a secret garden entrance to life.

The weathered cladding and rustic roof give it plenty of character, and it really does look like the entrance to an old cottage. I'm sure it adds a wonderful sense of charm and curiosity to the garden.
