The project:
We had a new deck and seating installed. Due to the height of the seating I had to make a table to match as all current table were too low. It came up a treat with enough seating for 10 people. I also made a long stool to match.
- Materials:
18mm Marine Ply for top
125mm x 125mm laminated pine posts
90mm x 45mm laminated pine posts
- Tools:
Circular saw
Triton work bench
Router
Spade bit
Drills
Screws
Wood Glue
- Step 1:
Legs.
Cut timbers and checked out mortise and tenon joints.
Glued up each set of legs.
Aligned all 3 sets and then checked out the 2 x long pieces to stabilize the table.
Glued and screwed the 2 x long pieces into place.
Cut 2 x diagonal pieces for strength.
Glued and screwed these into place.
Cut timber top and screwed onto frame.
Filled all holes with wood filler and coated with clear lacquer.
