D.I.Y. timber coffee table

The project:

A nice industrial woody style coffee table, really easy to build in a great way to sparkle up a room. Minimal tools required so amazing for a beginner DIYer to see success straight up.

- Materials:

90 x 45 Material and 90 x 90 post material treated with a Specrite top

- Tools:

Miter saw (Optional but handy for accurate cuts)

Painting Tools

Drill, Pilot pit and screws

Glue (Optional for extra strength in joints)

- Step 1:

Step 1, Cut 2 x 800mm and 2 x 500mm out of 90 x 45 material (This is the apron around the legs)

- Step 2:

Step 2, Cut posts to your desired height, remember to factor in the height of your top.

- Step 3:

Step 3, Assemble the apron with 75mm screws (Butt jointed) and from the outside to the legs with 100mm screws (3)

- Step 4:

Step 4, fill holes and apply paint.

- Step 5:

Step 5, Cut top to size and attach with screws or brackets from the underneath.

- Step 6:

Style and enjoy!

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your D.I.Y coffee table project.

If this is your first attempt at D.I.Y furniture making it looks very good. The design lines are simple which gives it a very clean appearance, and the materials used are very robust which means that it will last a very long time. The light timber top and clean white base work really well together, giving it a fresh industrial look that's very eye catching.
