The project:
I needed a smaller dining table, couldn’t find what I wanted so decided to make it! I wanted X bar legs, did a UTube video but worked most out myself. At one stage I didn’t think it would work as I couldn’t get a few components and had to source alternative products! BUT I think it turned out really lovely, well I love it!
- Materials:

- Tools:
All my tools are Ozito, three drills-1 for drilling, 1for screws, 1 for countersink this makes the job easier. Two sanders. Bench drop saw. Wood glue, sandpaper, hammer,
- Step 1:
*cut all the leg pieces, under support pieces, *mark and drill dowel holes, wood glue dowel holes and along table top edges. Attach and clamp overnight. Sand table top ready for hard wax. Make under frame, sand ready to join. Glue and screw legs, reinforce X section underneath with metal mending bar. Fixed the tabletop to the legs and under support, putty up screw holes, sanded and hard wax all exposed pieces. Added slide buttons under each corner for floor protection. *Took the angle brackets off the leg joins and used strong metal mending brackets underneath to give extra support.
