How to stop dust getting past garage door?

Hi, I'm looking for a brush seal strip for the sides of my garage door frame to stop dirt and dust getting in. I'd prefer something that screws on for durability rather than self-adhesive. Is there anything else you'd recommend for sealing the sides of a garage door that would be more durable or longer lasting?

, that can be screw-fixed to the garage door frame, which tend to be more durable than the self-adhesive options.

That said, depending on the gap you're trying to seal and whether there's any movement between the door and the frame, you might be better off using a solid rubber or PVC seal instead of a brush seal. These can often provide a tighter seal against dust and dirt.

If you could upload a few photos of the area you're looking to seal, including the gap with the door open and closed if possible, that would help our members recommend the most suitable solution for your setup.

are specifically made for this purpose and can be screwed on using appropriate fixings for the frame around your garage door.

As garage doors need to be able to move up and down, a brush seal is really the best thing you can install on the sides of the opening.

In saying this, if there are any seams, or gaps which are not subject to the motion of the door, filling or covering them could also be worthwhile. Things like silicone and polyurethane sealants are great for this.

If you had some photos, we could certainly take a look and see if there are any additional improvements that could be made.
