Rotten timber window ledge given new lease of life

The project:

This rotten window ledge was so high that I didn’t realise how bad it was until I got up on the scaffold!! Thankfully it came up good without having to replace the whole ledge!

- Materials:

Builders Bog

Sandpaper (120, 180 & 240 grit)

Paint

- Tools:

scraper

Screwdriver

- Step 1:

Using a scraper and a screwdriver I scraped as much of the rotten wood out as possible

- Step 2:

Then I mixed the builders bog and filled the whole, letting it set before sanding it smooth

- Step 3:

I finished it off with 2 coats of paint
