From chicken coop to upcycled cubby house

The project:

I picked up a old cubby house that was used as a chicken house from a kerbside collection. After a thorough clean,sanding down and new paint job I added curtains,flooring,chalk board,flowers and accessories and named it Rose Cottage for my grand daughter's birth month flower. Much loved and used by my 3 and 1 year old grand daughters!

- Materials:

Paint, krud cutter, scrubbing brushes and cloths, and liquid glue.

- Tools:

Sander,paint brushes,cleaning and scrub brushes, drill.

- Step 1:

First a thorough clean and then left it for a few days to air out.

- Step 2:

Then sanding and painting

- Step 3:

Finally added floor,chalk board ,flowers and accessories and added toys

Thank you very much for sharing your cubby house restoration project. What a beautiful rescue, the cubby house looks fantastic! A good clean and new paint has given this cubby house a second life. I'm sure your kids will be spending a great deal of time playing in it. I've seen the coffee art, make sure to give the barista a raise!
