The project:
Using the Bunnings Online Kaboodle portal to design and estimate total costs, this design/costing tool enabled us to perfect our vision whilst keeping within budget. Bunnings professionals liaised with us at the special order desk and arranged a consultation for a measure at the house to iron out any mistakes in measurements or products before we ordered. We had the most fun ever putting all the cabinets, benchtops and accessories together and painting the room for it's complete makeover. The final result from the Bunnings range is above and beyond our original expectations and we are absolutely thrilled.

- Step 1:
Remove old wall linings to prepare for Plumbers and Electricians to remove old fittings and create area for new connections.
- Step 2:
Add new wet area plaster, glue and screw, fit cornice and finish plaster with plaster tape and mud using trowels. After drying sand using various cordless ozito plaster finish sander.
- Step 3:
Stainblock existing hardwood window and door surrounds and then paint ceilings and walls architraves using dulux primer, sealer and wet area paint and gloss for the architraves. Lay and fix cement sheeting on floor.
- Step 4:
Put all cabinets and end panels together and fit to wall using ryobi cordless drill. We created a support rail screwed to the wall to support the weight of the overhead cupboards whilst lifting and fitting.
- Step 5:
Add kickboard and benchtop.
- Step 6:
Cut the Mirostone benchtop sink cutout space using normal wood cutting tools such as the Ryobi cordless range. Call back plumber to fit sink and taps and Electrician for fit off.
Fit tiles to wall using tile glue and spacers and then measure, cut and fit aluminium edge ready to grout and silicone. Tile floor and skirts, glue/grout.
- Step 7:
Measure and cut black hanging rail, fit between end hanging cabinets/wall and screw in using screws supplied with rod flanges.
- Step 8:
Add doorstop to newly painted door and add blind to door plus the window blind to complete the new look room which is nearly identical to the Bunnings Kaboodle design plan below.
