The project:
My project involved a comprehensive renovation of three bedrooms and one bathroom to improve functionality, comfort, and visual appeal. The scope included demolition and relocation of internal walls, installation of new walls and ceilings, replacement of flooring throughout, and upgrades to lighting and electrical fittings. Custom built-in wardrobes, furniture, and storage solutions were individually designed, fabricated, and installed to maximise space efficiency and meet specific design requirements. New window furnishings were also installed to complement the overall interior aesthetic. Apart from licensed electrical and plumbing works, all renovation activities were completed solely by me over a period of approximately 6–7 months, including the customisation and installation of all furniture and fixtures
- Step 1:
Started by exploring colour schemes, design ideas, and inspiration to create a modern and consistent look throughout the bedrooms and bathroom.
- Step 2:
Measured the rooms, planned the new layouts, and researched materials, flooring, lighting, wardrobes, and fixtures that suited my budget and style.
- Step 3:
Created a renovation plan and organised the purchase and delivery of materials and supplies.
- Step 4:
Completed demolition work, removing old finishes, fittings, and selected internal walls.
- Step 5:
Relocated and rebuilt internal walls to improve the layout and make better use of the available space.
- Step 6:
Installed and finished new walls and ceilings, including patching, sanding, and preparing surfaces for painting.
- Step 7:
Arranged and coordinated licensed electricians and plumbers for work requiring trade certification.
- Step 8:
Installed new flooring, painted all rooms, and completed general finishing work throughout the renovation.
- Step 9:
Researched, selected, and installed built-in wardrobes, storage solutions, and furnishings to maximise functionality.
- Step 10:
Installed curtains, lighting, and final fixtures, then completed touch-ups and detailed inspections to achieve the desired finish
