The project:
Original laundry looked tired, especially compared to the rest of the house which had been repainted and updated.
- Materials:
bench top, tile splash back, Kaboodle cupboards and accessories. Decora tap, Welba sink.
- Tools:
Ryobi sanders, Ryobi cordless drill, Ryobi jigsaw, screwdrivers, wood chisels, spirit level, scrapers, paint, paintbrushes
- Step 1:
Removal of existing laundry
remove old bench top. Turn off power and water. Remove washing machine taps and power point (used electrician for this step).
Remove existing splash back. Empty and dis-assemble existing cupboards.
- Step 2:
Prepare area
Relocate plumbing for washing machine taps to new location in below bench top (used plumber for this step).
Replaced damaged gyprock sheeting with new and sealed.
Installed support structure for new bench top.
- Step 3:
Fit new items
paint up new gyprock and refit wall tiles around floor.
Measure and mark up location for new wall cupboards. Install carcasses.
Measure, trim and fit new splash back to 2 walls.
Finish cupboard fit out. Measure and cut hole for new tap and sink. Fit and fix new bench top. Fit tap, sink, washing machine taps and power point.
