Timber farm-style backyard fence 35m

The project:

Original fence was just a makeshift fence for short term made out of black bunnings stakes & chicken wire. I took it upon myself to make something a bit sturdier & long term. Wanted something more fitting to the property so I decided to go wooden farm style fence.

- Step 1:

1. Made a list & did about 4-6 trips to bunnings to collect the materials 😅
2. measured up the distance & cut all the post to size
3. Dug out the rock/clay & cemented the posts in
4. Notched all the posts for the slats top & bottom
5. Cut to length & fit slats between posts
6. Made up gate frames & secured to posts using hinges & brackets
7. Sanded the entire fence ready to be stained
8. stained the entire fence with 2 coats to ensure it was protected
9. Secured the mesh on one end of the fence & tensioned it around & working my way around fastened it to the post/slates
10. The proceeded to do the same for the gates located on each end of the fence

What a fantastic upgrade! The new timber farm-style fence looks right at home and is a huge improvement over temporary fencing. It looks like you put plenty of work into the build
