Powder room reno with recessed vanity

The project:

Originally the toilet was a part of the main bathroom. Due to having a house full of young adults, we decided to seperate the two areas and add a vanity recessed into the old door area to avoid taking up too much room.

- Materials:

We use 90% of the material from Bunnings, this includes, gyprock, cornice, trim, floor leveller , tiles, decorative paneling for the recess, toilet, tap ware and accessories.

- Tools:

Hammer, drill, circular saw, Stanley knife, nail gun, caulking gun, tile cutter.

- Step 1:

1 - removed all the old paneling

2 - removed the floor tiles

3 - removed the old toilet

4 - Pored floor levelling compound

5. - Plumbing for the vanity

6 - gyprock for walls and ceiling.

7 - tiled and painted

8. - Installed the toilet and basin.

This is such a thoughtful renovation. Turning one bathroom into a practical powder room has made such clever use of the available space. The recessed vanity and modern black accents create a stylish, functional design that's perfect for a busy family.
