The project:
when we purchased the property, we wanted to open this area up and add more light. We removed all the brickwork and relocated the window to the opposite side to allow more sunlight through. We closed of the existing window and added a feature wall for the TV.
- Materials:
gyprock, gyprock masonry adhesive, decorative paneling, skirting, light fittings, floor leveling compound, plastering compound.
- Tools:
Hammer drill, drill, circular saw, caulking gun, nail gun, hammer, leveller , drop saw.
- Step 1:
1 - Firstly we demolished the olde fire place and removed the brickwork.
2 - framed up the wall where the fireplace was.
3 - removed the old window
4 - Gyprock the walls and plastered
5 - leveled the floor
6 - installed the light fittings.
7 - Painted
8 - laid the flooring.
9 - installed the skirting.
