The project:
Started with an empty un-usable fireplace that had a shelf built in. I have never tiled before. It is just the beginning of my renovation journey. I have a whole house ahead of me and now the confidence to tackle it 🙂

- Step 1:
Cut and layed cement sheet over existing tiles.
- Step 2:
Cut all slate tiles to fit and arranged them without sticking them down
- Step 3:
Applied adhesive and stuck slate to cement sheet and fireplace
- Step 4:
Added quad and meranti mantle after sanding and glossing them.
- Step 5:
Grouted all the slate
- Step 6:
Sealed the slate.
- Step 7:
Installed the glass fronted fireplace.
