The project:
Simple to build and a great add to any yard. If kept in a square will be a easy project.
- Materials:
Merbau timer for rafters and posts. For the seats l have used besser blocks then merbau decking timber. Finishing off with roofing panels for the exterior and standard concrete pavers with crushed dust.
- Tools:
Level,string line,Drop saw or hand saw,nail gun, screws 100mm with impact drill,Jigsaw,
- Step 1:
1 First set up a square measuring the required area.
2 Make sure your working from the outside perimeter and dig out each corner for your posts.
3 Concrete in your posts
4 Run a string line around the posts and screw your sleeper to the post. And make the sleepers continue around the outside of the post to form the square.
5 make the desired seat hight and depth same to match the sleeper hight and besser bricks.
6 Make the angle seating back supports tie it to cross timbers you put on the seats secure them to the besser block and sleepers screwing it all.
7 Cut and screw the decking to the seats.
8 Cut any form of rafter supporting the sides and roughly don't go smaller than 1200mm apart.
9 Cut the desired roof sheets to size and nail to besser blocks using gal 50mm nails.
10 Add crush dust and compact down and add your paving.
