Toilet room renovation with wall panels

The project:

Complete renovation of our toilet after original toilet (20 years) to include total gutting of the room to bare walls and floor tiles. We then re-tiled, installed a new toilet, painted and added paneling. Finished with shutters and decorative furnishings

- Materials:

Caroma Toilet Suite, paneling, molding, painted walls and doors white, paint match to colour in tiles for paneling, easy shutters special order, square shelf set, all materials including adhesive, grout, spacers, silicone, glue and nail gun all purchased from Bunnings.

Tiles bought elsewhere

- Tools:

tile cutter, grinder, nail gun, notched trowel, all

Plumbing tools as required

Painting equipment as required

- Step 1:

stripped out old toilet and gutted room back to walls and tiles

- Step 2:

moved cold water supply from bottom feed position and repositioned for back inlet supply to cistern and reboarded

You've taken a plain, dated toilet and turned it into a fresh, stylish space that feels bright, modern, and thoughtfully designed. Every detail works together to create a room that's both practical and inviting.

The patterned floor tiles are a real standout and pair perfectly with the grey VJ panels. The combination adds plenty of character and texture without overwhelming the space, creating a timeless look with a modern touch. The crisp white walls, plantation shutters, and simple decorative finishes balance everything beautifully, making the room feel light, spacious, and elegant.
