Steel frame chicken shed with stained glass windows

The project:

we decided to replace our chicken shed made from an old cubby house as it was a bit of an eyesore from the back varanda The new one has stained glass windows corbels stainless steel nesting boxes and a couple of oil paintings to make the chickens feel special.

- Materials:

combination of steel for the frame , and timber roof and , stone walls hardwood and decking

- Tools:

Makita battery tools

- Step 1:

started with steel frame was quite a challenge as I did it all but myself

- Step 2:

made timber roof and decided to raise pitch higher because it was under a large tree with lots of leaves

- Step 3:

stone walls were next that , was a first bit like doing a jigsaw puzzle

- Step 4:

finished touch’s adding details, decking, etc

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your chicken shed housing project.

This has got to be the best-looking chicken sheds I've ever seen! The corrugated roofing, stone feature walls and stained-glass windows just push this build over the top. You weren't kidding about the oil paintings either. There are just so many small touches to this chicken shed that makes it really stand out.
