The project:
Changed the look of the exposed side of a children's bookcase from plain and boring to bright, colorful and an interesting talking point.
- Materials:
4 cube bookcase, an old Mr Funny book we had a duplicate of, glue, contact.
- Tools:
scissors
- Step 1:
Choose the book youd like to make your collage from. Hint: choose a book you have a duplicate of or head down to your local Op Shop to find a book for a dollar or two, dont cut up your favourite book. A book whick has been well loved and is on its last legs is also a good choice. Take out the staples and gently remove the pages. Spread them all out so you can see what pictures you have to work with.
- Step 2:
Play with design layout until you are happy with the placements of all your pictures, making sure to cover all the gaps. You can cut the pages to size if needed.
- Step 3:
Glue them down in place, then cover with contact to protect the final product and making sure the edges dont fray.
