The project:
We renovated our kitchen by knocking down walls, reworking the layout, and rebuilding the space from the ground up. We hired sanders from Bunnings to refinish the floors and used Kaboodle cabinetry ordered through Bunnings. We also poured our own concrete benchtops and installed new fittings, including making our range head a feature in the design. It was a hands-on project that involved problem solving, long days, and plenty of teamwork, slowly turning an outdated kitchen into a functional, modern space we built ourselves, and with countless trips to Bunnings along the way.
- Materials:
Bunnings floor sanders
Kaboodle kitchen cupboards and handles.
Bunnings tile glue
Bunnings wood for concrete benches for work, to make the range head, reinforce the walls, and many other parts
Skirting and arcs
- Tools:
Sledgehammer and various demolition tools to remove the old kitchen. Hired floor sanders from Bunnings along with sanding pads and floor oil to refinish the timber flooring. Drill used for assembling the Kaboodle flat pack kitchen and installing fixtures. Handle template for accurately positioning and fitting cupboard handles.
