The project:
My front garden was full of weeds and just plain terrible, I had a menopausal big cry one day so I sucked those tears up ran down to bunning amd started my spur of the moment thoughts. After 5 trips to bunning in 2 day and 37 bags of rocks (boy they are heavy) my garden job is done, but just have to wait for rain to stop before I can reder some round corners onto the fire pit onto it which will also have the stones on it and a big square paver for the top when unused . Its looks beautiful
- Materials:
37 bags of river pebbles and 3 black polished rocks
Weeds mat
Garden round skirting around plants
Fire resistant morter
Pavers x 3
Long and short small cement blocks
A bunnings snag
bucket and water
Wire amd mesh for holding Fire place i to pit of recycled bricks that were in the ground
- Tools:
Shovel
Hammer
Stanley knife
Bucket
Wire cutters
Rake
- Step 1:
1st, dug up old rocks and bricks to reuse in fire pit or anything I could
Tried to make as level as possible with the rake or shovel
2nd sprayed weed killer, put weed mat down
3rd filled in where I wanted the papers
4th place bags and bags of river rocks
5th made a area for the fire for to be and dig a hole out with Stanley knife and shovel.
6th used old brick and used cement slabs to make a square
7th meshes amd wired square together
8th made up fire proof mortor amd applied
9th wired outside of render to hold for a few days
10th still be continues to finish the pit when not raining
All done by a menopausal woman with 3 kids by herself
