The project:
We had just plain walls in the hallway so we decided to bring it to life and go hamptons. Love it now we have moved onto the lounge room. Paint colour Duck Egg Blue with white panelling
- Materials:
tongue and groove panelling, dado rail, and paint and of course skirting boards, no more gaps and Liquid Nails paint sheet for floor
- Tools:
Ryobi nail gun, Ozito drop saw, Ryobi stud finder, paint roller, brushes, and paint tape also measureing tape spirit level
- Step 1:
1: bought panelling from Bunnings Maryborough
2: measured the height size for panelling
3: stud finder to get the studs right
4: cut the panelling to size
5: put Liquid Nails on the wall, glued panelling to the wall, and used a spirit level to make sure it was straight both up and across.
6: used a nail gun to secure it to the wall
7: continued process, measuring twice and cutting once
8: cut and fixed dado (chair rail) on top of the panelling, secured with a nail gun
9: once all in place, painted the bottom half white as with the dado rail and used Traumans Endure Duck Egg Blue for the top. Walls were low-sheen traumans, full gloss on dado and door trims, and skirting boards.
