The project:
As you see from the 'before' photo, the laundry was in desperate need of renovating. Nearly everything needed redoing. I installed new cabinetry, splashback tiles and wall panels (not seen in pic). I hired tradesmen for power points and plumbing.
- Materials:
Cabinetry - Kaboodle carcasses with Kaboodle "Alpine Cardamom" doors.

Bunnings brushed silver handles. Picked up splashback tiles from 'marketplace'. Brand new door was a special order from Bunnings and the door handle from Bunnings. Stone bench supplied and installed by a local stone supplier. VJ wall panels and dado rails from Bunnings. Wall paint from Bunnings. (Dulux 'white on white'). New light fitting from Bunnings. White silicon and tile grout from Bunnings.
- Tools:
Ryobi cordless drill purchased from Bunnings ; Philips head screwdriver. screws; nails; nail punch
Clamps ; measuring tape ; saw; hammer
Spirit level ; silicon gun ;
- Step 1:
Measured laundry and decided on layout of cabinets, tub and washing machine.
- Step 2:
Removed old cabinet, tub, shelving, wall tiles and ordered new Kaboodle cabinets from Bunnings.
- Step 3:
Installed new cabinets. Installed new VJ wall panel. Painted. Kaboodle cabinetry is not that hard to install. Did most of it myself (female at age 65!).
- Step 4:
Had new stone bench, tub, tap and power points installed.
- Step 5:
Did splashback tiles and siliconed around edge of benchtop. Hung new door.
- Step 6:
Put a little pot plant on the benchtop and took a photo.
