The project:
As a 23 year old female first home owner, I spent 4 weeks by myself on 4.8m high tressels to revitalise my home. I removed all the paint and old undercoating, straitened all the boards and used lots of gap filler and putty to restore the house weatherboards. I then painted the house, eaves and gutters. I Also added trims around the windows for a complete finish.
- Materials:
Dulux weather shield in natural white, ironstone exterior metal paint, undercoat, UV resistant gap filler, exterior house putty, exterior timber trims for around windows and eaves, paint stripper, paint brushes and rollers, 4.8m tressels and safety system, levels, packers. New windows and doors, exterior plastic cladding.
- Tools:
Milwaukee nail guns, makita 125mm orbital sander, Scrapers, makita finishing sander, Ryobi detail sander, levels, silicone guns.
- Step 1:
Hire tressels, strip all the paint, sand it all back, straighten the boards, silicone between every board and every gap, putty the boards, apply undercoat, putty again then sand, wipe down then 3x top coats. And fixing broken boards and adding trims where needed.

Sand and paint gutters and eaves
