How can one finish top and side corners of garage door which currently exposes Hebel panel+ top hat, frame + plasterboard.
Hello @ELI5
From what’s visible in the photo, the opening appears to be at the stage where the garage door has been installed but the reveals and head have not yet been finished, leaving the Hebel panel, top hat, framing and plasterboard exposed. The final detailing is typically completed with purpose-made external trims or flashings that tie into the wall cladding and garage door opening while maintaining the weatherproofing and movement allowances required for the wall system.
Because the exact finishing detail depends on the home's construction method, cladding system and how the garage opening was designed, I suggest referring back to the original building plans and construction details and have the builder who constructed the home, or another qualified builder familiar with Hebel systems, assess the opening.
They can confirm the intended trim and flashing arrangement, ensure it complies with the manufacturer's installation requirements and Australian Standards, and achieve a neat finish without compromising waterproofing or the structural performance of the wall.
Let me call on @Nailbag for his recommendations.

Hi @ELI5
I Think the easiest solution and one that would best blend in with the external hebel would be to line the opening with HardieTex blueboard and then render it in a matching colour. Bunnings do small batch DIY render kits by Dunlop.

Thanks, how do I finish the corners where the blueboard meets the plaster board on the inside and Hebel on the outside?
Hi @ELI5,
Where the corner meets the hebel, you would attach a https://www.bunnings.com.au/siniat-3-5mm-nib-32-x-3000mm-pvc-external-render-trim_p0730375 , then render around the corner. Check out https://www.bunnings.com.au/diy-advice/home-improvement/walls/how-to-render-corners for some guidance on this process.
On the inside, because you are going from fibre cement to plasterboard, you can't really continue the render around the corner, so I would suggest using a timber trim such as this https://www.bunnings.com.au/31-x-31mm-5-4m-moulding-h3-treated-pine-fj-primed-external-angle-losp_p0020838 or this https://www.bunnings.com.au/30-x-30mm-2-7m-h3-primed-fj-pine-round-edging_p0497531 to conceal the corner.
Once installed, the seams around the timber trim can be sealed using https://www.bunnings.com.au/selleys-430g-white-no-more-gaps-exterior-gap-filler_p1230161 , then everything can be primed and painted.
Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
