The project:
We transformed our outdoor garden area from an overgrown, uneven space into a clean, structured and inviting backyard retreat. Every element was completed by us, including milling the timber for the new fence using our Lucas mill. We reshaped the garden beds, added fresh plants, built tiered levels, and created defined zones with rock and timber features. The result is a bright, functional and beautifully organised space that highlights natural materials, thoughtful design and true DIY dedication.

- Step 1:
Hired a Local Tree Lopper to remove all trees
- Step 2:
Remove the old fences and any remaining stumps before ground preparation could begin. All stumps were removed by hand.
- Step 3:
Build the new fence using Campha Laurel fence palings and hardwood post & rails. All timber used for the fence was milled ourselves using a Lucas timber mill. Planter box seat was also built and installed at the same time.
- Step 4:
Dig holes and set up post for concrete sleeper installation
- Step 5:
Stair stringers concreted in and stairs installed. Soil prepped and turf laid. Garden rock also laid on ground level.
