The project:
I bought my house and uncovered a can of worms. My laundry was in a huge room with weird spaces, it felt like a waste so I completely gutted that room discovered a toilet behind a cupboard! I then decided to move the laundry into my awkward wide hallway opposite the kitchen. I spent a weekend on my own, as a single mum finding time can be hard, and built the shelving and installed the bench once paint had dried.

I can’t remember what brand but I bought paint brushes from Bunnings and borrowed a level off a friend.
- Step 1:
Plumber installed the drain and taps
- Step 2:
I did 2 coats of equitable forest on the wall.
- Step 3:
I installed the brackets on the wall for the 2 shelves and the bench top. Ensured they were level.
- Step 4:
I painted the 2 shelves black and allowed them to dry. Once dried I screwed them into place on the wall.
- Step 5:
I then placed the bench top on top of the brackets and secured them in place, then added the 2 side panels to make them look seamless. And to also make the bench top strong and secure.
- Step 6:
Final steps was installing the washing machine and dryer and adding decorative items. Since then more plants have been added.
