The project:

We had a 3 bedroom house of 120sq meters with 1x lounge and 1x dining.
This house was a small house where our boys couldn’t have friends over where we aren’t in each others pockets.
We decided to have plans drawn up and started the build as owner builder.

We settled on a 90sq meters outdoor entertainment area (connected to the house).

Many trips to Bunnings has got us to this point but still need painting (black) and landscaping.

- Materials:

140x45 pine lvl

90x45 studs

Stair treads

Insulation

Batten and plaster screws

Nail gun nails and brads

T-REX and no more gaps

- Tools:

nail gun, hammers, ladders, angle grinders, circular saw, rattle gun and drill, tin snips, square, laser level, measure tape

- Step 1:

excavations

- Step 2:

prep slab

- Step 3:

poor slab

- Step 4:

install steel framing and brick walls

- Step 5:

install of roofing

- Step 6:

install of external walls and windows

- Step 7:

install of inside ceilings including insulation

- Step 8:

final finishing touches including lights

What an incredible project! Expanding your home with such a spacious, light-filled entertainment area is a fantastic way to create more room for family and friends to enjoy together.
