The project:
Created a birth bath using terracotta pots and a bird bath bowl which i created a mosaic on. I created this to put in my garden so I can enjoy watching the birds.
- Materials:
4 terracotta pots from bunnings
Bird bath bowl from bunning
Liquid Nails
Coloured tiles
White grout
Grout Sealer
Exterior Spray paint and undercoat- i used dulux seamount for the colour
Sponge and cloth
- Tools:
Tile cutter or hammer
Caulking gun for liquid nails
- Step 1:
Go to bunning and buy all the good you need!
- Step 2:
Used liquid nails to glue the 4 pots together like in the photo provided and let it dry.
- Step 3:
Break up some coloured tiles with either a hammer or tile cutter.
- Step 4:
Use liquid nails to glue the tile pieces on to the inside of the bird bath. You can create a mosaic pattern if you chose.
- Step 5:
Once glue is dry, use the tile sealer with a paint brush to fill in all the gaps between the tiles.
- Step 6:
Once Sealer is dry, use grout mixed with sealer. Grout the tile pieces and use a sponge or cloth to wipe excess.
- Step 7:
While grout dries, spray undercoat paint on the terracotta pots bird bath stand. Once dry spray with dulux interior/exterior spray paint, i used the colour seamount. Let the paint dry before spraying another coat on paint.
- Step 8:
Now to spray paint the bird bath bowl, again undercoat then spray coloured ensuring paint is dry before each spray.
- Step 9:
Use liquid nails glue to stick the bowl on to the stand.
- Step 10:
Once glue is try put the bird bath into the perfect spot to attract bird and add water to the bowl.
