What's the best product or best way to fix + blend hairline cracks like this all over my driveway? It's important that they blend in after the fix! They look super obvious when the driveway is wet and are very unsightly. Thanks in advance! 🙏
Hi @parigi,
The unfortunate reality is that cracks in concrete are very hard to conceal with a filler product because it is poured as a single homogenous mass which discolours and ages alongside the other concrete around it. There are certainly products that can be used to fill those cracks, and they will blend in to a degree, but a perfectly invisible repair is unlikely with a filler product.
If you are happy to accept this, I'd suggest using this https://www.bunnings.com.au/gripset-betta-1l-concrete-crack-filler_p0960222 , which is a highly liquid filler which can be applied to the gaps. It dries to a light grey colour, which will blend in relatively well.
If you are looking to blend things in even further, you could then paint over the concrete using a concrete paint, but this would obviously conceal the exposed aggregate look of the driveway.
If you are looking for perfection and would like to maintain the current finish, then unfortunately, you would need to remove the concrete and replace it.
Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
