1950s laundry renovation using Kaboodle cabinets

The project:

Being a woman of 67 years of age, I did the project when my husband was working interstate. My laundry was 1950’s wallpaper, no folding space, no cupboard space. I had the hot water service removed outside and turned the old shower into a usable space. My son did the floor tiles and I did the backsplash. I sort the Kaboodle cabinets as they were easy to assemble. I have since built a kitchenette in the rumpus room with Kaboodle products. I would love now to replace the old washing machine and dryer.

- Materials:

Kaboodle cabinets and hardware.

- Tools:

Bunnings Ozito Drill and drill bits,
Bunnings Ozito Jigsaw,
Stanley level, clamps, Stanley tape measure, Stanley Screwdriver set

- Step 1:

Removed old appliances and Hot Water System, Tiles and wallpaper.

- Step 2:

New floor tiles, Assemble Kaboodle flat pack cabinets and install.

- Step 3:

Continue to add cabinetry for washing machine and dryer. Also installed overhead Kaboodle cupboards.

Finishing off with a Stone Marble benchtop.

What an inspiring transformation! You’ve turned your 1950's laundry into a bright, modern and highly practical space with plenty of storage and a generous work surface. It’s especially impressive that you took on so much of the project yourself while your husband was away, with your son helping on the floor tiles, a wonderful family effort. Your hard work, creativity and confidence with Kaboodle products have clearly paid off, and your new laundry looks fantastic.
