How to relocate taps for laundry upgrade?

I want to upgrade my laundry, specifically to finally get a dishwasher in my home. the plan is to pull out the old, giant sink and the tall cupboard. Then install a smaller, but still useful sink and cabinet with a bench spanning over the dishwasher then allowing space for my washing machine. It's a tight fit but I'm sure I can make it happen.

one of the hurdles I can see is that my wall mounted sink taps are 300mm apart from each other and if I install a smaller sink, then they won't reach. I'm looking for tap solutions that won't require a fresh mortgage

The trick with getting trades in to work with your timeline is to get them involved early in a project. Plumbers and electricians are trades with relatively short lead times of days to just a week or two.

Having solid block walls, the easiest and possibly the only method of cost effective changes to the plumbing is for it to all be external. Holes are then made through the block and the Tapware fitted off in the exact position you require. As @EricL pointed out, none of this is DIY legal and so the need for a licensed plumber.

You can either then close to leave the pipework exposed as @Dave-1 suggested or give yourself a DIY project to install a decorative cover.

Thanks Dave, I just had a quick look at that mixer and I'm inclined to agree that a plumber would be best to get a quote from. part of my issue with a plumber is that I was hoping to do this myself when it suited me. introducing external tradesmen means working around their timetables but it might be worth the hassle this time

I had a thought of getting a T piece join made up to sit on the outside of the wall, as in a retro style where you can see the copper pipes. Right down to having a taller gooseneck. You could even plan to have it off centered if needed to have a small width sized sink. A plumber would be where I would ask to make up such a device, you could make it yourself but I have generally found for one offs the overall pricing verse quality is something to consider.

The taps would need to be replaced with Right angle ones and then from there you could create your own style.

Just had a look and Bunnings have them if special ordered Quoss Chrome Reno Transformer Liberty II Bath Mixer With Breech Fittings

I am sure there will be others out there that may cost a bit more but it would solve yoru issue nicely.
