The project:

built in bookshelves with antique fireplace with lighting

- Materials:

bookshelves, second hand antique fireplace wood and trim from Bunnings, paint filler , primer, nails, screws and tools

- Tools:

drill, mitre saw, sandpaper, nails, screws, paint, primer, roller, tape measure

- Step 1:

measured space and worked out how many bookshelves to get, primed the shelves with oil based primer then painted. Once everything was dry I moved the shelves into position and put all my lighting chords into position for lamps etc, then I fixed them to the wall with screws. I then put the fireplace in and built a bulk head with wood and material from Bunnings to take it all up to the roof. I then used wood trims to hide any gaps, then patched and painted everything
