Garden and barbecue area

The project:

Decided to do something with a bare patch of dirt beside the fence & incorporate a BBQ, Vegetable Garden & Coloured Bushes from Bunnings, which didn't involve any cement base

- Materials:

8 X Golden Duranta Bushes, 7 X Alternthera Bushes, 1 X Rosemary (unseen in photo), 1 X Magnolia Tree, 8 X Tomato Plants, 6 X Box Choi, 6 X Spinach,4 X Broccoli. 1 X Packet of Sno Peas Seeds

Pavers, + 9 X Matrix Fast Floors, 2 Rolls of Weedmat, 6 X Bags of Large Woodchips, 1 X Trellis (For Sno Peas)

- Tools:

Rake, Pick, Electric Angle Cutter, Pins to keep Weedmat down, Muscle

Firstly we had to make the Dirt even, & calculate where the Bushes & Vegetables were to be planted, We had to 'size' the Matrix Fast Floor between the grass Pavers & fence after the Weed Mat had been positioned. My assistance was my 80 year old wife Judy

Everything in this project was purchased from Bunnings (Either Burleigh or Tweed H)

It’s amazing what you’ve created from a bare patch of dirt. The combination of the paved area, garden beds, colourful plants and vegetable garden has transformed the space into a practical and enjoyable backyard feature.

Great work planning the layout and making the most of the space without needing a concrete base. A fantastic effort from you and Judy!
